The Rental Set

The Rental Set is an open-source project from the OpenOak furniture coalition. It helps renters create stylish, modular furniture that requires no hardware and is easy to move.

Makers can visit OpenOak’s website to download CNC milling files and instructions, then customize the furniture in their own studios. OpenOak is a CNC furniture collective that makes tools for modular furniture freely available. The Rental Set is its inaugural collection: a desk and matching chair routed from a single 4-by-8-foot sheet of 3/4-inch plywood.
