One Perfect Rose
I chose to represent the poem "One Perfect Rose" by Dorothy Parker, a favorite of mine, because I felt the text was both beautiful and also visually compelling. I played around with font size, background color, and object abstraction. We were only allowed to use one font, bold and italic included, and grey tones with one accent color. I wanted each page to feel both connected to the previous, yet plainly unique, so I used lines to connect pages from one another, along with gradients and harsh stops to change background colors.
